do you want beer with that?

Last night i went to pick up the skis i am renting for this ski trip (i am not profecient enough on my telemarks & the boots don't fit that well) i walk into feather friends and they are preparing for a slide show ($10 tickets) of a mounteneer who has summited everest & help rescue several people.

so i walk up to the counter and they don't have the skis that i thought i reserved. so they do a little finagling & are able to get me a pair of skis. But the skis don't have any wax on them. so they tell me i can go watch the slide show. which is pretty funny. "oh and by the way there is a keg of mirror pond over there help yourself" (i love mirror pond) so while i am waiting i have a couple beers & enjoy the show.

Then i realize that my climbing skins won't work. Which is another ordeal since there are no more rental skins, they wonderful staff does a little more finagling & get me a pair of skins and even a pair of treking / ski poles.

So it all worked out better than i could have even hoped. I would like to than Dan, Cat, & the rest of the staff of feathered friends. They are awesome!
