it's just a little wind

last night i went out for a drink why my neighbor & a friend. It was fun, alhthough i had to drop my neighbor off after dinner amber & i stayed out a little longer and chatted. We where watching the wind and it was blowing pretty well. All of a sudden the light go out... for the entire block. It was neat. the bar just kept going. so we sat and talked a little more had another drink and enjoy hanging out in the darked bar.

after i returned home i realized how much the winds where blowing. the winds pegging my wind speed indicator. Which means that the winds where blowing over 60 knots.

The wind was strong enought to make the boat heel 5-10 degrees. that is what happens in light winds with the sail up. there was no sails just the mast & rigging. It was a little taste of what it would be like out on the water when the winds kick up.

The winds were so strong last night that they actually carried away my dinghy. It was upside down on the top of solana. & when i arrived home @ midnight it was gone... not even a trace. luckily i didn't snag anything as it was carried off.

this morning over 1 million customer are withour power and there are many trees down and road closed. it was a nice little storm. and i survived it unscathed. although london didn't like it too much he jumped into bed with me last night becuase he was scared.
