yeah i know i am forgetful
what a fun couple days... sailing (as usual) but this time i found out the hull speed is not 7 knots it is closer to 8 knots. this weekend we had the boat heeled over around 30 degrees or so & we holding speed around 7.6 knots. it was a blast. here are a couple pictures...
well i have now seen two movies in two days... putting my total for seattle some where around 5 for over 6 months... first we saw "little miss sunshine" it was a great movie! (mom take dad and go see it) i would see it again. it was really funny.
and today i went to see "flyboys" it was pretty good. not much plot but lots of action. It was fun especially since it was FREE.
mom this one is for you...
as the movie ended i did a compulsory check for me keys... you know just to start thinking about the car.... well i couldn't find them... i checked again.. as if they would magically appear. nope not there. well hmmm.. where could they be... let me check my pockets again... nope still not there.
oh SH**, i left them in the car!!!! No just in the car either... in the ignition. at this point i realize that it has been over 2 and a half hours sitting in the ignition. it is 9.16 pm and dark. i am really hoping that the car is still there. we walk the 2 block to the car... and Emily (my co-worker) & justin (a crazy guy i know) are making fun of me. (who wouldn't) man what a long two block walk... as we walk... emily says "oh i see your car...." then after a couple more agonizing steps we realize that it is not my car... i am parked on the next block. behind the bushes. oh you taunghting bushes... i know i need to me more careful. that is an expensive peice of machinery.
after crossing the next street emily pokes on me and says... "there it is... really i see your car."
Hot Damn i am a luck s.o.b. i left my keys locked in my car. (we locked is a lose term here, since i still haven't fixed the window from when they broke into my car) and it was really easy to tell exactly where my keys were since the radio was still on. and lighted, a beacon to draw a would be theif in... luckily for me no one wanted to steal my car tonight...
and what did i learn from this? well for one... i am not very good at remembering the "small stuff." hopefully this will never happen again... but i can't make any promisies...
